Albert Frederico was born at the White Memorial Hospital a little over 55 years ago. His parents had grown up in Boyle Heights and attended Roosevelt High School. His father, Frank, was a tree surgeon and his mother, Ruby, a homemaker.
Pastor Albert remembers fondly the church in Baldwin Park, near the home he grew up in. The church had an active program for the youth, with Pathfinders, hiking, and socials. He remembers the evangelism meetings held there had a deep impact on him. When he attended nearby San Gabriel Academy he rededicated his life to the Lord Jesus and, soon after, became a religion major at La Sierra College.
He married Linda Ludden over 30 years ago and they have raised two sons. Joel is a physics doctoral student at Stanford University and Jon is beginning the Doctor of Physical Therapy program in Loma Linda University in June. Both sons also graduated from San Gabriel Academy.
Pastor Albert has been a pastor in ten other Southern California Conference churches, most recently at Hacienda Heights where he served for 13 years.
His interests include hiking, racquetball and sailing. He has biked to the top of Mount Wilson, twice, and from L.A. to San Diego in one day, once (that was enough!). He looks forward to singing bass in the choir and joining the pastoral team in service to God's people.
